Modern Times Beer Pharaoh Ascendant: Oatmeal Cookie Edition

Built on a complex and meticulously constructed malt bill, this unapologetically decadent imperial stout was lavished with straight-up irresponsible amounts of vanilla, oats, cinnamon, brown sugar, & amburana bark (a unique tree bark with an extremely vanilla-forward profile). The result is a resounding detonation of dessert flavors that cradle the palate like a hammock made of compliments.

Modern Times is a 30bbl production brewery and tasting room in the Point Loma neighborhood of San Diego. Modern Times is named after a beautifully crazy utopian community founded in 1850 (see “Modern Times was..” for the full explanation), and (almost) all of our beers are named after real utopian experiments or mythological utopias.
