We were curious. Can you make a beer that tastes like white wheat wine, without touching any grapes? So here’s how we did it. We made a selection of hops and yeasts that give us the illusion of white wine. This became an intricate blend of Nelson T90, Nelson Cryo, Rakau, Hallertau Blanc, and Talus hops, some of which come from a New Zealand farm growing their plants on clay ground, boosting the natural thiols and flavors. This beer is double-mashed and received two different yeasts to make it full and dry. So what does it taste like? We surely get the white wine vibes. White grapes, passionfruit, but also herbal and minty. It pours with a light color and is quite hazy. Let’s enrich our beer experiences and embrace innovation.
