Uiltje Brewing Company
In 2015 waren er meer dan 300 crowdfunders en een bank enthousiast genoeg om de missie van Uiltje Brewing Company te financieren: To Brew F*cking Good Beer! In september 2016 werd die missie werkelijkheid toen de gloednieuwe brouwerij in bierstad Haarlem op volle toeren begon met brouwen.
En ze hebben grote ambities! Liefde voor speciaalbier bracht ze naar de plek waar ze nu staan; in de top 100 beste brouwerijen ter wereld volgens RateBeer. De mooiste bieren die ze maken zijn dan ook de meest uitgesproken stijlen. Ze zoeken de extremen op. Bij het Uiltje (zoals de brouwerij in de volksmond wordt genoemd) krijg je bijvoorbeeld keihard gehopte bieren waarvan ze kruiwagens tegelijk in de ketel knallen. Zoals vette IPA’s, maar ook zure bieren, rookbieren, bieren met fruit, koffie, drop, lolly’s, zelfs een heuse kerstboom was niet veilig voor de brouwketel. Ook zijn ze in Haarlem niet vies van Imperial Stouts, Scotch Ales en Barley Wines te rijpen in oude bourbon, whisky of wijnvaten.
